Assoc. Prof. Dr. Daniel Krizan, M.Sc., D.Sc. is a distinguished researcher and author of numerous scientific publications and patents in the field of materials science. Originally from Slovakia, he pursued his studies in Belgium and has been living and working in Austria for more than 20 years.

He was consecrated to the Blessed Virgin Mary on October 7, 2023, the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. He is a member of the Confraternity of the Holy Rosary at the Dominican Marian Center in Košice, Slovakia, and a candidate in the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem in Austria.

Inspired by his personal patron, St. Bartolo Longo—known as the Apostle of the Rosary—Prof. Krizan is dedicated to promoting devotion to the Holy Rosary and to the Blessed Virgin Mary, both within and beyond the Order, particularly in connection with efforts to support peace in the world. He is also engaged in the study of the history and theory of the Holy Rosary, as well as in the Rosary development for personal devotion.

Besides "Per Mariam ad Jesum", his motto reflects a doxology present in the Slovak version of the Litany to the Holy Spirit:

Holy Spirit, with Your divine help, teach me to live for the honor and glory of God, for the salvation of souls, and for the joy of the Mother of God, so that I may die as a useful servant. Amen.
